An Untitled Collection of Jones’ Childhood Memories – Introduction

An collection of memories about Jones’ childhood were compiled and typed while Peoples Temple was in Jonestown. This collection has some similarities to the taped autobiographical talk of Jones (Q 134) but contains more memories and more extensive description. The anonymous introduction of the document states that the stories were transcribed from tapes recorded in September 1977 while some leaders were sitting around talking. These tapes have not been located.

The first  transcription was made by Rikke Wettendorff and is located at the Alternative Considerations of Jonestown and Peoples Temple website.  That transcription included here but has been checked against the original.

The FBI released copy is found in the RYMUR collection 89-4286-O-1-B
