Paula Adams Diary

Paula Adams served as a key emissary of Peoples Temple Agricultural Project in Georgetown, the capital city of Guyana. A young, intelligent, hardworking woman who quickly rose through the ranks of Peoples Temple bureaucracy, Paula’s efforts in Georgetown led her to cross paths with Laurence (aka Bonny) Mann, the Guyanese Ambassador to the United States.

Her diaries, collected later by the FBI, recorded her activities and thoughts as she navigated the Temple’s connections with the government, her relationship with Bonny Mann, and her loyalty to Jim Jones and the community at Jonestown.

The transcriptions and annotations below link also to the FBI copies of the diaries. Those copies were numbered in reverse chronological order, likely the result of placing the newest entry into the front of the folder. Below the chronological order is restored, but the FBI codes retain their original order.
